Our Story

CPL Brokers, Inc. is a Veteran owned and operated business based in Annapolis, MD and specializing in professional liability insurance since 1996.  We are one of the largest independent brokers for CPAs in the Mid-Atlantic, currently representing over 300 CPA firms, and over 125 other professional firms.  We are now expanding our services westward.

Our Management

Daniel W. Hudson, Founder and President
Dan has been serving professional firms since 1989.  He is a 1981 graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, and holds an MBA from the University of North Florida.  Dan is also a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter and an Associate in Risk Management.  

Dan served in the United States Navy as a Naval Flight Officer.  He served on both active and reserve duty for 30 years, retiring in 2006 as a Captain.  For most of his service, he flew on board the P-3C Orion, conducting anti-submarine operations, littoral warfare, counter-narcotics, and surveillance missions worldwide.  Dan served as Commanding Officer of Patrol Squadron Six Four (VP-64) where his squadron earned the Battle "E" and numerous readiness awards and citations.  He invites you to look forward to the new P-8 Poseidon, which has been replacing the P-3 since 2013.
